Bowl Options and How They Change Your Experience
The bowl is where your herb sits, and it has a bigger impact on your session than most people realize. Different bowl materials, sizes, and designs change the flavor, hit intensity, extraction speed, and how much herb you can load. The SS WOHW is compatible with a wide range of bowls. Here are the ones you should know about.
The Bowls: What They Are and How They Perform
The primary bowl in every SS WOHW bundle. Made of titanium with a stainless steel mesh screen inside, it works with both the diffuser and injector sides of the heater via included adapter rings (21.5mm for diffuser, 18mm for injector). Optional titanium mesh screens with a single weave are also available from us for a bit more airflow.
The Matrix bowl is versatile. For optimal extraction, pack 0.15g to 0.30g of flower. The bowl can physically hold up to about 1g, but overfilling creates too much restriction and slows extraction. Use the included scoop and lightly tamp around the edges after loading. One slightly overfilled scoop is the sweet spot for most users.
Flavor Note: The metal screen may add a slight character vs. all-glass options. Most users never notice, but if you are sensitive to flavor nuance the all-glass bowl is worth trying.
Adapter Tip: Removing the glass adapter when the bowl is cold can be tough. Do it immediately after a session while warm, or soak in isopropyl alcohol and hot water. A small amount of Ed’s Bomb Ass Butter or beeswax on the O-rings makes future removal much easier.
One of our favorite components in the kit. Originally a design developed by Terp Chasers Club and included exclusively in Dab Hut bundles, this bowl is made entirely of borosilicate glass with no metal screens. The thick, spoon-shaped handle gives you a secure grip when placing and removing the bowl from your rig.
The flavor difference is immediately noticeable. Glass imparts zero taste, which means every terpene in your flower comes through clean. Troy at 420VapeZone called this his favorite bowl for the SS WOHW, and we agree. Best loaded in the 0.1g range, though it can hold up to 0.2g. Depending on manufacturing variance it may also work as an injector bowl with a light load, and pairs well with a small topping of hash or rosin.

These bowls are 16mm OD and designed to fit the injector head of the WOHW as a diffuser-style bowl. The injector head itself has a tapered inner diameter of approximately 16.3mm to 16.7mm, so 16mm OD bowls seat into it cleanly. This is the same fitment used by the Crossing Technology microdose bowl. Both glass and titanium options are available from us separately.
Ideal for quick, efficient sessions without committing to a full bowl, and excellent for flavor exploration since smaller amounts extract faster and give you a concentrated burst of terpenes. Also work as injector diffuser bowls with the hot hole technique covered on Page 2.
The 14mm and 18mm glass adapters included with your Titanium Hybrid Matrix Bowl can double as functional diffuser bowls when fitted with a screen. This gives you a lightweight, minimal glass airpath option right out of the box without purchasing anything extra.
Depending on manufacturing variance, some of these adapter-and-screen setups can also work on the injector side. Similarly, certain all-glass diffuser bowls in your kit may function as injector bowls with a lighter load. It is worth experimenting since variance between individual pieces means your mileage may vary.

You can try bowls from different makers without needing a new heater or more expensive components. The adapter ring system is what makes this possible, and having both the 21.5mm and 22mm rings included in your bundle from day one means you are already set up for the widest compatibility out of the box. Third-party 22mm bowls from brands like Cannabis Hardware and Ed’s TNT work with the included adapter ring, and B2CVape makes both a passthrough diffuser bowl and a dedicated injector bowl built specifically for the WOHW platform.
Choosing the Right Glass
The SS WOHW does not come with a glass water piece, and choosing the right one matters more than you might expect. Your glass affects vapor temperature, draw resistance, flavor, and how easy or hard it is to clear a big hit. Here is what to look for.
Joint Size
We recommend 18mm female joints for ball vape use. The wider opening allows more airflow, which pairs well with the high-flow nature of the WOHW. If you already have a 14mm piece you love, that works too. We provide 18mm-to-14mm adapters with all of our 18mm rig purchases, and we also sell them separately if you have existing glass you want to use. Starting with 18mm gives you the most flexibility.
Height
Aim for around 9 inches or under. Shorter pieces are easier to clear in one pull, which is the whole point of the One-Hit Wonder. Taller pieces (bong-height, 12 inches and above) still work, but the extra volume means more effort to clear the chamber. Some users prefer that for cooling purposes, and that is a valid choice. Just know the tradeoff. If you have strong lungs, the world is your oyster.
Style
Bubblers and recyclers are the most popular choices for ball vapes. They provide water filtration and cooling without excessive volume. Straight tubes work fine but tend to be taller. Beaker-style bongs hold more water and cool well but can be harder to fully clear. We also highly recommend 90° joints for the most even platform when placing your bowl and heater combination.
Base Stability
This matters a lot. Your glass is going to sit on a table with a hot heater coming on and off regularly. A wider, stable base reduces the risk of tipping, which is a safety concern as much as a convenience one. We recommend around 4 inches as a good base size that fits most rigs. We also offer a variety of mats and pads for keeping your glass secure to whatever surface you are using.

Already Have Glass? If you own a piece with a 14mm or 18mm female joint you love, there is a good chance it will work great with the WOHW. Pick up one of our adapters and try it before buying new glass. Many users discover their existing pieces pair perfectly with a ball vape once they make the switch.
