The Universal Baller
The first true modular ball vape with an all-glass airpath. Four vapes in one kit: wired or wireless, quartz or all-metal, each with its own vapor signature. Built by Terp Chasers Club and ranked the number one ball vape by Troy at 420VapeZone. Now part of the rotation here at The Dab Hut.
Troy at 420VapeZone has reviewed over 500 dry herb vaporizers. The Universal Baller holds his top spot in the ball vape category.
Built by Terp Chasers Club
Terp Chasers Club designed the Universal Baller around one idea: keep the airpath pure while giving you every way to use it. They are a veteran-founded shop with a real focus on flavor-forward dry herb vaping, and the Universal Baller is their flagship. We are proud to carry it and to be a great partner to TCC.
This listing pulls together everything you need to buy and run the device confidently. For their official video guides, the full user manual, and the deep-dive accessory documentation, we link straight back to TCC throughout this page and in the resources section at the bottom.
An All-Glass Airpath
In a ball vape, air is pulled into the housing, heated by the hot rubies, passed through a fritted disc, and then through your herb to vaporize it. What makes the Universal Baller different is what that air touches on the way.
With the quartz insert installed, the heated air only ever passes through glass and ruby. It never contacts the metal housing. That is the all-glass airpath, and it is the reason this vape earned its reputation for flavor purity. A quartz shell holds the ruby chamber, the bowl is glass, and the joints use common glass sizes so you are not locked into proprietary adapters. If the quartz insert ever breaks, the device is still fully usable in metal mode.
Pull the quartz insert out and you have an all-titanium ball vape running a larger ruby chamber for heavier conduction extraction and bigger clouds. Same kit, completely different character. That flexibility is the whole point.
One Kit, Four Vapes
Two choices stack to give you four distinct modes. Wired or wireless. Quartz airpath or all-metal. Each combination has its own feel and its own vapor signature. Here is what each one looks like and when to reach for it.
Mode 01 | Flavor First
Wireless Quartz
Heat the housing on the coil, lift it off, and take it to your couch. Quartz insert in place for the purest all-glass flavor. The portable, single-session configuration most flavor chasers reach for.
|
Mode 02 | Big Clouds, Portable
Wireless Metal
Quartz insert removed, full 1000-ruby metal conduction chamber, still heat-loaded and cordless. Denser vapor and stronger extraction while keeping the grab-and-go freedom of wireless use.
|
Mode 03 | Endless Sessions
Wired Quartz
Stay plugged into the PID for constant power and zero heat decay, with the quartz insert keeping the airpath pure. The configuration for long flavor sessions where you never wait on a reheat.
|
Mode 04 | Maximum Power
Wired Metal
Constant power plus the full metal conduction chamber. The heaviest-hitting mode in the kit for max cloud production at low temperatures, with no heat decay between pulls.
|
Switching between modes takes seconds and no tools. TCC has a full walkthrough in their user guide, linked in the resources section below.

Universal Baller FAQ
The questions we get most about modes, compatibility, and getting the most out of the kit.
What is the difference between the four modes?
Two choices stack to make four modes. The first choice is wired or wireless: wired keeps you plugged into the PID for constant power and zero heat decay, wireless lets you heat the housing and lift it off for a portable, cordless session. The second choice is quartz or metal: with the quartz insert installed you get the all-glass airpath and the purest flavor, and with it removed you get a full metal conduction chamber with up to 1000 rubies for denser clouds and stronger extraction.
Combine them and you get wireless quartz, wireless metal, wired quartz, and wired metal. Most flavor chasers live in quartz modes. Cloud chasers tend to prefer metal. The beauty is that you can switch any time in seconds without tools.
Will the coil and PID work with my existing enail controller?
The coil and PID in this kit use Crossing Tech wiring. They are not cross-compatible with other enail pinouts out of the box. If you already own a controller from a different brand, the connector may physically fit but the wiring order will likely not match, which means it will not function correctly. If you want to run the Universal Baller on an existing controller, or add a replacement 25mm coil later, verify the pinout against Crossing Tech wiring first. If you are not sure, reach out through Discord or our contact page with your controller details before ordering anything.
What temperature should I run it at?
Start around 580 degrees Fahrenheit on the coil and adjust from there. Higher temps give a stronger, denser extraction. Lower temps preserve the most flavor and terpenes. Because of normal quartz manufacturing tolerances, your ideal number may vary slightly from someone else’s, so treat any starting point as a baseline to calibrate from. A heat soak of 15 to 45 seconds before your first pull noticeably improves performance, especially at lower temperatures. Once you find your number, return to it for consistent sessions.
What happens if the quartz insert breaks?
The device remains fully usable. If the quartz insert breaks, you simply run the Universal Baller in metal mode, which uses the full ruby conduction chamber without the glass lining. Plenty of owners run metal mode by choice for the bigger clouds and stronger extraction, so a broken insert does not take your vape out of commission. Replacement quartz inserts are available from TCC if you want to return to the all-glass airpath.
How is this different from the SS WOHW you also carry?
Both are excellent ball vapes and both have been in our rotation since launch. The SS WOHW is a strong performer at a lower entry price and a great first ball vape. The Universal Baller costs more and gives you more: a complete modular kit with four usage modes, the hybrid titanium and stainless housing, and the all-glass airpath that earned its flavor reputation. If budget is the priority, look at the SS WOHW. If you want the most flexible, flavor-forward kit and do not mind paying for it, the Universal Baller is the one. Neither is going anywhere in our lineup.
Can I use it with my own bowls or adapters?
The modular bowl uses common glass joint sizes rather than a proprietary fitting, so you are not locked into a single adapter standard. TCC also offers a dedicated adapter set that opens up configurations like the 30mm FMJ for extra thermal mass, plus stem adapters for compatibility with a range of stick-style vapes. The full breakdown of what works with what is in the TCC adapter guide, linked in the resources section above.
