What Is In The Kit
Seven items. Every one of them earns its spot because we use it on our own units.

01
Nitrile Gloves
Cleaning a warm cup means handling solvent and sticky residue at the same time. Gloves keep both off your hands and keep skin oil off the parts you just cleaned.

Isopropyl Pump Bottle
Filled and ready. A pump bottle means you wet a swab with one hand instead of tipping a jug over your desk. This is your everyday solvent for the cup, the tools and the hardware.

50 Pointed Tip Swabs
Pointed, not rounded. The tip reaches the corner where the cup wall meets the floor, which is exactly where residue collects and exactly where a round swab skates past.

Ethyl Wipe Pads
75 percent ethyl alcohol pads for the outside of the device, the carb cap and your hands. Individually sealed, so they travel in a bag without drying out.

Dark Crystal Glass Cleaner
For the glass and the quartz. Non toxic, no fumes, and it lifts baked on residue that isopropyl just smears around. This is what you soak a bubbler in.

Microfiber Towel
For drying glass without leaving lint behind, and for setting hot parts down on something that is not your table. Paper towel sheds fibers into every wet corner.

Replacement Dab Tools
Because the one you have is bent, sticky, or lost behind the couch. Stainless, and they double as a scrape tool when residue has gone hard in the cup.

How To Actually Use It
Two habits keep a Switch running like new. Neither takes more than a minute.
|
After Every Session
While the cup is still warm, run a pointed swab around the inside. Warm residue lifts. Cold residue polymerizes onto the surface and then you are scrubbing. This one habit is the difference between a five second wipe and a soak.

Every Week Or So
Pull the glass and let it sit in Dark Crystal while you wipe the device down with an ethyl pad. Rinse the glass, dry it with the microfiber, and put it back. Ten minutes, most of which is waiting.

Honest notes so nobody is surprised.

Never Submerge The Device
Solvents are for the cup, the glass, the carb cap and the tools. The Switch body holds electronics and a battery. Wipe the outside with an ethyl pad and keep liquid out of the base.

Go Gentle On Sapphire
A sapphire insert cleans beautifully with a warm swab and does not need aggressive scrubbing. Thermal shock is the real enemy on any insert, so let it cool before it meets cold liquid.

Hand Packed In Small Batches
We are building these by hand while we see whether people want them. Bottle and jar sizes can vary slightly between batches as we settle on the right ones. The seven items are always the seven items.
