OM QUARTZ | SWITCH 2 ACCESSORY

An aftermarket pure-quartz replacement insert for the Dr. Dabber Switch 2, machined to match the stock insert’s roughly 20mm heating surface and overall geometry. It’s not a Dr. Dabber branded part, it’s an OM Quartz V2 insert at roughly half the OEM price, built to keep your sessions running while you protect your originals.

V2 brought the bucket height closer to OEM and the airflow holes are polished to nearly match the stock insert. Same heating surface, same drop-in fit, same hit profile. Pure quartz means the same flavor character as the original.

Why an Aftermarket Insert

Quartz inserts are wear parts. They take thermal shock, they get dropped, they crack, they discolor over time. The OEM Switch 2 insert is excellent, but at OEM pricing it stings to lose one to a fumbled cleaning session. OM Quartz fills that gap with a near-identical insert at a fraction of the cost.

If you dab regularly, your insert sees more wear and tear than any other component in the device. Run the OM Quartz as your daily driver and put your OEM insert in the drawer for travel or pristine sessions. Same flavor experience, way less anxiety about wear.

VERSION 2 UPGRADES

Closer to Stock

OM Quartz iterated on this insert openly. V1 was solid value but had small dimensional differences from OEM. V2 closes those gaps. Here is what changed and why the price moved from $10 to $12.

BUCKET HEIGHT
Adjusted to Match Stock
V1 sat slightly taller than the OEM insert, which affected how the carb cap seated. V2’s bucket height is dialed in to match stock so your carb cap fits the way you expect. Small tolerance change, big quality-of-life improvement.

AIRFLOW HOLES
Polished, Nearly Identical
Stock airflow holes have a smooth, polished finish. V1 had functional but unfinished holes. V2 brings the airflow geometry close to indistinguishable from OEM, which means draw resistance, vapor production, and air pattern all behave the way Switch 2 owners expect.

ROUNDED INTERIOR WALLS
Easier to Clean
The V2 features slightly rounded interior walls inside the bucket while keeping the standard flat bottom for proper heating contact. The softened wall transition means cotton swabs glide where they used to catch on a hard 90-degree corner. Reclaim and char wipe away with less effort.

PRICE ADJUSTMENT
$10 to $12
Tighter tolerances, polished airflow, and improved QC raised the manufacturing cost. The V2 retail price reflects that. It’s still substantially less than an OEM insert, but the V2 is genuinely a different (and better) product than V1.

INSTALLATION

Drop-In Setup

If you have ever changed the stock insert on your Switch 2, you already know how to install this one. No tools, no calibration, no modifications.

Power Down and Cool
Turn the Switch 2 off and let the atomizer cool fully to room temperature. Quartz handles thermal cycling well during normal use, but you do not want to handle a hot insert.

Remove the Old Insert
Lift the carb cap and use the included Switch 2 tool (or clean tweezers) to pull the existing insert straight up and out. Set it aside in a soft cloth or padded case.

Drop In the OM Quartz
Lower the new OM Quartz insert straight down into the atomizer well. It should seat with no resistance. If you feel binding, lift it back out, inspect for debris, and try again. Never force it.

Replace the Carb Cap
Set your carb cap back on top. The V2 bucket height is dialed to match stock, so your existing carb cap should fit exactly the way it always has. Power on and dab as usual.

Heads Up
Aftermarket means small variances
Even with V2’s improved tolerances, no aftermarket quartz manufacturer matches OEM specs to within a hair. You may notice minor dimensional differences at the seam, slight finish variations, or tiny inclusions in the quartz. None of these affect performance. They are normal for aftermarket inserts at this price point.

Important
Never dry-fire a quartz insert
Firing the Switch 2 with an empty insert (no concentrate, no terp pearls, no nothing) can cause thermal stress and crack the quartz. This is true of any quartz insert, OEM or aftermarket. Always have product loaded before activating the heat.

Heads Up
Inspect before every use
Glance over the insert before each session for chips, hairline cracks, or stress fractures. Quartz can develop microfractures over time from thermal cycling, and a compromised insert is more likely to fail catastrophically. Cheap insurance to spend three seconds checking before you fire up.
