The Print
Four Regulars and a Lot of Sky
Left to right, the lineup. A clown in a white shirt and black trousers, green hair standing out in two tufts, eyes half shut and ringed red, one white glove up and a lit joint between the fingers of the other. Everything above them is empty. A flat, even, slightly dusty blue fills the top two thirds of the square with nothing in it at all except the word weedsons set small and lowercase in the upper right corner. There is no ground line, no shadow and no setting. The four of them are simply standing there, cropped just above the ankles by the bottom edge of the mat.
The drawing is completely flat. Solid fills, one weight of black outline, no shading, no gradients, no texture. That restraint is the whole reason it works at this size. It is a print you can read in a glance, and it is one of very few character mats in this drop that does not fight whatever you put on top of it.

Three marks on the back plus the number: the Dark Mountain Cult moth device with their trade, sell and collect line, the Lukke Tattoo logo with the @lukketattoos handle, and the moodmats logo over a printed LIVE SALE EXCLUSIVE line. This is the fourth Lukke Tattoo collab we picked up in the same batch, and the only one of the four drawn in flat cartoon style rather than tattoo linework.

Rubber That Already Had a First Life
Moodmats started with scraps from old wetsuits and discarded scuba and surf neoprene, material that was headed straight for a landfill. That became Lava Rubber, and Lava Rubber is what every Moodmat is cut from. The feedstock now comes from wetsuits, gaskets, weatherstripping, seat molds, and other clean scrap that gets collected or donated. More than two tons of it moves through the New Jersey shop every month, gets pressed into sheet stock, then die-cut and screen printed. Keeping that material out of the ground has been the point from day one.
Closed-Cell Neoprene
Closed-cell rubber does not drink up what you spill on it. Water, reclaim, and terp splash sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so a wipe with soapy water puts it back to new.
It Stays Put
The rubber grips whatever it is sitting on and grips whatever you set on top. A rig that would skate across a glass table or a finished desk stops moving the second it lands on a Moodmat.
Tough and Self-Extinguishing
Heat resistant, self-extinguishing, and built out of material that already survived a first life. This is not a printed coaster that curls after a month on the table.

Moodmats print in runs, and runs end. Once a design is out, it is out. Artist collabs and drop exclusives regularly land in quantities of ten to twenty five pieces, which is why the people who collect these track drops, trade them, and frame the ones they will never put a rig on. If this specific print matters to you, the time to grab it is while it is still on the shelf.

The back is printed LIVE SALE EXCLUSIVE with a hand-inked number over a preprinted 25. Twenty five is the entire production for this design and it went out through a live sale rather than the moodmats store page. We have two of them, each carrying its own number, so the one that ships to you is one of twenty five that exist rather than a specific piece we can promise in advance.
No Reprints
Moodmats does not go back and run a sold-out design again. When this one is gone from our shelf and theirs, the only way to get it is from somebody who already has one.
Worth Hanging
A print this limited does not have to earn its keep under a rig. Plenty of these end up on a wall, in a frame, or stacked with the rest of a collection.

Wipe it down with warm water and a little dish soap, then let it air dry flat. That is the whole routine. Do not run it through a washing machine or a dryer, do not scrub the print with an abrasive pad, and do not rest a lit torch or a glowing-hot banger directly on the surface. Use a stand or a puck for anything still at temperature.

Know Before You Buy
Upcycled Means Variation
The rubber is reclaimed scrap, so base color, speckle, and surface texture shift slightly from sheet to sheet. Two mats of the same design will not be photocopies of each other. That is how you know it is the real material and not virgin stock.
Heat Resistant, Not Heatproof
The rubber is self-extinguishing and handles warm gear without complaint. It is not a torch pad. Park anything still glowing on a proper stand or a quartz puck, not on the print.
Two On Hand, and the Number Varies
We have two of these rather than one. Both are from the same run of twenty five and both are hand numbered on the back, but the inked figure differs between them and we are not holding a specific one for a specific order. If the exact number matters to you, message us before you buy and we will tell you what is on the shelf.
The Blue Field Shows More
Two thirds of this print is a light blue sky. Dark mats hide a spill and a pale field does not. It cleans up with warm water and dish soap like any of them, it just asks to be wiped sooner rather than later if you are working over it.
No UV on This One
Standard ink, full color, no reactive application. A blacklight does nothing to it. Several Moodmats in this drop do glow, this print is not one of them, and we would rather say so up front than have you plug in a lamp and wonder.
