A pint-sized hooded menace in a white mask with a machete over his shoulder, die-cut out of recycled New Jersey rubber at 12 inches. Born Ready Designs made 100 and numbered every one by hand. This is 96.
The Print
Small Guy, Large Knife
He is short, round, and about as threatening as a traffic cone until you look at what he is holding. Red hooded robe with the point of the hood flopped over to one side, a brown belt with a yellow buckle cinched around the middle, and a pair of chunky blue shoes underneath. His whole face is a smooth white mask, two black eye holes, a scatter of little black vent dots, and three red marks angled across the brow and cheeks.
Raised up behind his shoulder, taller than he is, is a machete. Grey blade, dark handle, blood running down the edge and dripping off onto the hood below. That is the entire joke and it lands immediately: the proportions are cute, the props are not, and nobody drew a single facial expression because the mask does not have one. The blankness is what makes it work.
The mat is die-cut to the whole figure, blade included, so there is no circle around him and no dead border. At 12 inches from the tip of the blade down to the shoes, he is the biggest silhouette in our case, and he reads as a shape from across a room.

Born Ready is an official Moodmats collaborator with a long run of limited hand-numbered pieces behind them. Rubber That Already Had a First Life
Moodmats started with scraps from old wetsuits and discarded scuba and surf neoprene, material that was headed straight for a landfill. That became Lava Rubber, and Lava Rubber is what every Moodmat is cut from. The feedstock now comes from wetsuits, gaskets, weatherstripping, seat molds, and other clean scrap that gets collected or donated. More than two tons of it moves through the New Jersey shop every month, gets pressed into sheet stock, then die-cut and screen printed. Keeping that material out of the ground has been the point from day one.
Closed-Cell Neoprene
Closed-cell rubber does not drink up what you spill on it. Water, reclaim, and terp splash sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so a wipe with soapy water puts it back to new.
It Stays Put
The rubber grips whatever it is sitting on and grips whatever you set on top. A rig that would skate across a glass table or a finished desk stops moving the second it lands on a Moodmat.
Tough and Self-Extinguishing
Heat resistant, self-extinguishing, and built out of material that already survived a first life. This is not a printed coaster that curls after a month on the table.

Why It Matters
One Hundred, Then Never Again
Moodmats print in runs, and runs end. Born Ready capped this one at 100 pieces and hand numbered every single mat before it went out. There is no reprint, no second pressing, and no way to order another once the hundred are placed. A run of 100 is bigger than some of the pieces in our case, which is exactly why this one is the most reachable numbered Born Ready mat we have.

The number is inked by hand into the printed box on the back, under the Born Ready Designs and Moodmats marks. This specific mat is 96, and the photos on this page are of that exact piece.
No Reprints
Moodmats does not go back and run a sold-out design again. When this leaves our shelf, the next one you see will already belong to somebody else.

Wipe it down with warm water and a little dish soap, then let it air dry flat. That is the whole routine. Do not run it through a washing machine or a dryer, do not scrub the print with an abrasive pad, and do not rest a lit torch or a glowing-hot banger directly on the surface. Use a stand or a puck for anything still at temperature.

Know Before You Buy
Die-Cut Means Less Flat Space
The 12 inch figure is the longest span, from the tip of the raised blade down to the shoes. The mat narrows at the shoulders and the blade, so the usable flat area is smaller than a 12 inch round would give you. Measure your rig footprint before you commit.
No UV on This One
Some Moodmats in our case are printed with UV reactive ink and become a second picture under a blacklight. This one is standard ink. What you see in the photos is what you get in any lighting.
Upcycled Means Variation
The rubber is reclaimed scrap, so base color, speckle, and surface texture shift from sheet to sheet. The back photo shows exactly what this one looks like. That grey grit is the recycled material, not a defect.
Heat Resistant, Not Heatproof
The rubber is self-extinguishing and handles warm gear without complaint. It is not a torch pad. Park anything still glowing on a proper stand or a quartz puck, not on the print.
