Mystic Baby Moodmat
A three-eyed, big-eared little oracle, die-cut out of recycled New Jersey rubber and printed in full-color UV by Briz Bazaar. One mat, two completely different pictures, depending on what light is in the room.
The Print
One Print, Two Different Pictures
You know who this is supposed to be, and you can tell immediately that something has been changed. Briz gave the little guy a third eye, open right in the middle of his forehead above the two big violet ones. His face runs a gradient from green through teal into deep blue. His ears sweep out wide and melt at the tips, bleeding green to yellow to orange to hot magenta like paint left in the sun. Along the crown of his head, a row of tiny mushrooms is growing.
The robe is where the detail hides. It drapes into a wide heart shape piped in rainbow, and the inside is packed edge to edge with black and white linework: arches, waves, ridges, mushroom caps, layered dense enough that you keep finding new shapes in it after you think you have seen the whole thing. The mat is die-cut to that exact silhouette. No circle around it, no dead border, just the shape of the drawing.
Then you put a blacklight on it and it becomes something else. The color drops out to electric blue and violet, the ear gradients light up as bands of neon, the linework in the robe glows against the dark, and that third eye is still open and still watching. This is not a print that gets a little brighter under UV. It reads as two separate pieces of art, and which one you are looking at depends entirely on what is switched on in the room.

Brandi Young has worked under the name BRIZ since 2014 and went full time in 2016 when she started licensing her art. Blacklight-reactive work is not a side experiment for her, it is the thing she is known for, which is why a UV Moodmat in her hands comes out looking like this instead of like a normal print with some glow added. The drawing is hers. Moodmats licensed it and printed it on their New Jersey rubber.

Rubber That Already Had a First Life
Moodmats started with scraps from old wetsuits and discarded scuba and surf neoprene, material that was headed straight for a landfill. That became Lava Rubber, and Lava Rubber is what every Moodmat is cut from. The feedstock now comes from wetsuits, gaskets, weatherstripping, seat molds, and other clean scrap that gets collected or donated. More than two tons of it moves through the New Jersey shop every month, gets pressed into sheet stock, then die-cut and screen printed. Keeping that material out of the ground has been the point from day one.
Closed-Cell Neoprene
Closed-cell rubber does not drink up what you spill on it. Water, reclaim, and terp splash sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so a wipe with soapy water puts it back to new.
It Stays Put
The rubber grips whatever it is sitting on and grips whatever you set on top. A rig that would skate across a glass table or a finished desk stops moving the second it lands on a Moodmat.
Tough and Self-Extinguishing
Heat resistant, self-extinguishing, and built out of material that already survived a first life. This is not a printed coaster that curls after a month on the table.

Moodmats print in runs, and runs end. Once a design is out, it is out. Artist collabs and drop exclusives regularly land in quantities small enough to disappear in a weekend, which is why the people who collect these track drops, trade them, and frame the ones they will never put a rig on. Moodmats does not go back and run a sold-out design again. When this one is gone from our shelf and theirs, the only way to get it is from somebody who already has one.

A print this limited does not have to earn its keep under a rig. Plenty of these end up on a wall, in a frame, or stacked with the rest of a collection.

Wipe it down with warm water and a little dish soap, then let it air dry flat. That is the whole routine. Do not run it through a washing machine or a dryer, do not scrub the print with an abrasive pad, and do not rest a lit torch or a glowing-hot banger directly on the surface. Use a stand or a puck for anything still at temperature.

Know Before You Buy
UV Reactive Is Not Glow in the Dark
The second picture needs a blacklight to show up. A 365nm or 395nm UV lamp is what does it. This mat will not charge up in daylight and glow on its own in a dark room, and if that is what you are expecting, you will be disappointed. Under normal room light it reads as a full-color print, which is the whole point of the trick.
Die-Cut, So Measure Your Space
The outline follows the artwork, which means points, curves, and notches instead of a clean circle. The 12 inch figure is the widest span across the ears, not a uniform diameter, and the mat is considerably shorter top to bottom. Measure before you commit it to a specific tray or shelf.
Upcycled Means Variation
The rubber is reclaimed scrap, so base color, speckle, and surface texture shift slightly from sheet to sheet. Two mats of the same design will not be photocopies of each other. That is how you know it is the real material and not virgin stock.
Heat Resistant, Not Heatproof
The rubber is self-extinguishing and handles warm gear without complaint. It is not a torch pad. Park anything still glowing on a proper stand or a quartz puck, not on the print.
