The Print
A Volcano in a Glass
The cut is the first thing you register. The whole mat is the silhouette of a drinking glass leaning to one side, narrow and tapered at the base, wide and open across the top, so the art is not sitting in a rectangle, it is sitting in a glass. Gold rays fan out across the bottom third and give the base something to stand on.
Inside it, a yellow skinned cartoon man is standing waist deep in the crater of an erupting volcano and looks entirely untroubled about it. Grey hair, a heavy shelf of a brow, a blue bowtie, one arm raised over his head holding a green orb that glows. Lava splashes out on both sides of him. A spiky green plant pushes in from one edge, a blue ball marked 420 floats in the sky, and above all of it a sun with a single grinning eye watches the whole scene happen.
The volcano, the eyeball sun and the 420 ball are the artists’ own, not borrowed from anywhere, and they are what turn a familiar looking face into a piece that only exists here. The print is red and orange edge to edge with visible halftone where the sky tones overlap each other, dense enough that it holds up at arm’s length and rewards a closer look. There is no UV in it.
A Collaboration
Dark Mountain Cult x Lukke Tattoos
The back of this one is signed twice over and then some. The Dark Mountain Cult moth row, the script mark, the handle, the trade, sell and collect line, the giveaways line and the Facebook group all run across the top. Lukke Tattoos is credited underneath with its own handle, then the moodmats wordmark. Below that sit the two lines that make this piece what it is: LIVE SALE EXCLUSIVE, screened on, and a number box inked by hand out of twenty five.

Rubber That Already Had a First Life
Moodmats started with scraps from old wetsuits and discarded scuba and surf neoprene, material that was headed straight for a landfill. That became Lava Rubber, and Lava Rubber is what every Moodmat is cut from. The feedstock now comes from wetsuits, gaskets, weatherstripping, seat molds, and other clean scrap that gets collected or donated. More than two tons of it moves through the New Jersey shop every month, gets pressed into sheet stock, then die-cut and screen printed. Keeping that material out of the ground has been the point from day one.
Closed-Cell Neoprene
Closed-cell rubber does not drink up what you spill on it. Water, reclaim, and terp splash sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so a wipe with soapy water puts it back to new.
It Stays Put
The rubber grips whatever it is sitting on and grips whatever you set on top. A rig that would skate across a glass table or a finished desk stops moving the second it lands on a Moodmat.
Tough and Self-Extinguishing
Heat resistant, self-extinguishing, and built out of material that already survived a first life. This is not a printed coaster that curls after a month on the table.

Why It Matters
Runs End. Prints Do Not Come Back.
Moodmats print in runs, and runs end. Once a design is out, it is out. Artist collabs and drop exclusives regularly land in quantities of ten to twenty five pieces, which is why the people who collect these track drops, trade them, and frame the ones they will never put a rig on. If this specific print matters to you, the time to grab it is while it is still on the shelf.
Twenty Five Made, and the Back Says So Twice
Two separate marks on the back carry this, which is unusual. LIVE SALE EXCLUSIVE is printed on the mat, so the design went out through a live sale rather than a store page and was never a catalog item. Then a hand inked number box out of twenty five caps the run. Printed exclusivity plus a hand number on the same piece is the strongest evidence of scarcity on anything we have listed, because it is on the rubber rather than in somebody’s notes.
No Reprints
Moodmats does not go back and run a sold-out design again. When this one is gone from our shelf and theirs, the only way to get it is from somebody who already has one.
Worth Hanging
A print this limited does not have to earn its keep under a rig. Plenty of these end up on a wall, in a frame, or stacked with the rest of a collection.

Wipe it down with warm water and a little dish soap, then let it air dry flat. That is the whole routine. Do not run it through a washing machine or a dryer, do not scrub the print with an abrasive pad, and do not rest a lit torch or a glowing-hot banger directly on the surface. Use a stand or a puck for anything still at temperature.

Know Before You Buy
Upcycled Means Variation
The rubber is reclaimed scrap, so base color, speckle, and surface texture shift slightly from sheet to sheet. Two mats of the same design will not be photocopies of each other. That is how you know it is the real material and not virgin stock.
Heat Resistant, Not Heatproof
The rubber is self-extinguishing and handles warm gear without complaint. It is not a torch pad. Park anything still glowing on a proper stand or a quartz puck, not on the print.
No UV on This One
Standard ink, full color, no reactive application. A blacklight does nothing to it. Plenty of Moodmats do light up under one, this print is not among them, and the saturation in the sky is doing the work instead. Better to hear it now than after you plug a lamp in.
Die-Cut Means Irregular Edges
The outline follows a leaning glass, so you get a narrow tapered base, a wide open mouth and a tilt to the whole thing rather than a clean rectangle. The listed eleven by eight is the widest point in each direction and not a uniform footprint. The tapered base is the narrowest section of rubber on the piece, so handle it the way you would handle any narrow section of rubber.
This Is the Exact Mat, Minus the Number
One of these is on the shelf and the photos are of that actual piece, front and back. What we will not do is quote you a position in the run, so the page says one of twenty five and leaves the inked figure off. The rubber underneath is reclaimed scrap, so the base speckle is its own as well.
