Seattle’s most famous raccoon, redrawn as a snarling gremlin by Born Ready Designs. Thirty-five were made, they went out by auction instead of retail, and this one is hand numbered 11 on the back.

The Internet’s Raccoon, Drawn Feral
In July 2026 a woman named Kiana Hall filmed a raccoon while walking through the Ballard neighborhood in Seattle. He was short. He was round. His back arched up in a way no raccoon’s back is supposed to, and he waddled off like he had somewhere to be. She called him Jimothy in the caption and the internet took it from there. Within weeks he had a mural, a bobblehead, a Google animation, an honorary degree from the University of Washington, and a formal nod from the Seattle City Council. A local wild animal became a folk hero on the strength of his silhouette.
Born Ready Designs did not draw the sweet version. Their raccoon is hunched low over splayed legs, olive and moss fur banded in cream and charcoal, back humped high. One eye bulges out red and enormous with a tiny blue pinprick of an iris. The other is narrowed to a slit. His jaw is cranked open around a mess of jagged yellow teeth with a long pink tongue hanging loose and a single drop of drool coming off it. Behind him, a ghost of the same line drawing bleeds through the pale lavender background like a double exposure. The studio calls their own style melty monstrosities and nostalgic nightmares, and this is that description doing exactly what it says.
Flip it over and the back is bare grey rubber, full of the speckle and grit that comes from the recycled stock. Screen printed across it in white: BORN READY DESIGNS x moodmats, and underneath, a box with the edition number inked in by hand over a printed 35. This one reads 11.

Rubber That Already Had a First Life
Moodmats started with scraps from old wetsuits and discarded scuba and surf neoprene, material that was headed straight for a landfill. That became Lava Rubber, and Lava Rubber is what every Moodmat is cut from. The feedstock now comes from wetsuits, gaskets, weatherstripping, seat molds, and other clean scrap that gets collected or donated. More than two tons of it moves through the New Jersey shop every month, gets pressed into sheet stock, then die-cut and screen printed. Keeping that material out of the ground has been the point from day one.
Closed-Cell Neoprene
Closed-cell rubber does not drink up what you spill on it. Water, reclaim, and terp splash sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so a wipe with soapy water puts it back to new.
It Stays Put
The rubber grips whatever it is sitting on and grips whatever you set on top. A rig that would skate across a glass table or a finished desk stops moving the second it lands on a Moodmat.
Tough and Self-Extinguishing
Heat resistant, self-extinguishing, and built out of material that already survived a first life. This is not a printed coaster that curls after a month on the table.

This One Never Went to Retail
Some Moodmats you can order off a shelf. This is not one of those. Thirty-five were produced and released through auction, which means the only people holding one are the people who went and got one. There is no restock, no second run, and no store page to check back on. When this leaves our shelf, the next one you see will be in somebody else’s collection.

These were never listed on moodmats.com and never carried as regular stock anywhere. Auction was the entire distribution, which is why most people who want one have never actually seen one for sale.

Wipe it down with warm water and a little dish soap, then let it air dry flat. That is the whole routine. Do not run it through a washing machine or a dryer, do not scrub the print with an abrasive pad, and do not rest a lit torch or a glowing-hot banger directly on the surface. Use a stand or a puck for anything still at temperature.

Only one of these exists at this shop and it is number 11. The photos are of the actual piece, front and back, including the hand-inked number. There is no second copy behind the counter.
It Is a Gremlin, Not a Portrait
Born Ready draws warped cartoon monsters, and that is what this is. Bulging eye, bared teeth, tongue out. If you were expecting a sweet, accurate likeness of the raccoon from the videos, this is deliberately not that, and the whole point is the contrast.
Upcycled Means Variation
The rubber is reclaimed scrap, so base color, speckle, and surface texture shift from sheet to sheet. The back photo shows exactly what this one looks like. That grey grit is the recycled material, not a defect.
Heat Resistant, Not Heatproof
The rubber is self-extinguishing and handles warm gear without complaint. It is not a torch pad. Park anything still glowing on a proper stand or a quartz puck, not on the print.
