Heads up
No back photo exists for this one, so we say nothing about back of mat marks or edition. The Hitman Glass logo on the art is there because the two brands made this together. The photo on this page is of the actual mat.

The Print

A Shaggy Character With a Full Setup

The field is bright lime green and the drawing sits on top of it in two colors only, pale blue and black. The character is a tall shaggy creature with a long snout, drawn in a loose storybook line, wearing a tall stovepipe hat with horizontal stripes around it. It leans forward over a low table with an expression somewhere between concentration and mischief, one arm extended, holding a dab tool poised above a puddle sitting on a pad.

The table underneath is the part that makes this a mat for this shop rather than a novelty print. A rig, a jar, a torch and the tool are all laid out and all drawn accurately enough that you can tell what each one is. Stacked serif lettering runs across the upper left in three lines, set in the same storybook manner as the drawing. The Hitman Glass flame and drip logo is printed bottom center, small and neat, exactly where a maker’s mark belongs.

The whole thing is flat line and flat color with no rendering anywhere, which is the right call for screen printing on reclaimed rubber. There is no UV in it and no second state. What it does have is contrast: black line on pale blue on lime green is about as loud as a two color print gets, and a black rubber border on all four sides keeps it from turning into a green rectangle at a distance.

Made With

Hitman Glass

This one is a collaboration between the mat maker and a glass brand, and the flame and drip logo sitting bottom center on the artwork is that brand’s own mark. It is on the mat because both sides made the piece together, which is a meaningfully different thing from a print that borrows a logo it has no right to. No individual illustrator is signed anywhere on the front, so nobody is credited by name here. We are not going to attach one on a guess.

Photos only get you so far. This is the actual piece, shot in our hands, so you can see the scale, the finish and how it behaves in real light before you buy it.

Made in New Jersey Since 2009

Rubber That Already Had a First Life

Moodmats started with scraps from old wetsuits and discarded scuba and surf neoprene, material that was headed straight for a landfill. That became Lava Rubber, and Lava Rubber is what every Moodmat is cut from. The feedstock now comes from wetsuits, gaskets, weatherstripping, seat molds, and other clean scrap that gets collected or donated. More than two tons of it moves through the New Jersey shop every month, gets pressed into sheet stock, then die-cut and screen printed. Keeping that material out of the ground has been the point from day one.

Closed-Cell Neoprene

Closed-cell rubber does not drink up what you spill on it. Water, reclaim, and terp splash sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so a wipe with soapy water puts it back to new.

It Stays Put

The rubber grips whatever it is sitting on and grips whatever you set on top. A rig that would skate across a glass table or a finished desk stops moving the second it lands on a Moodmat.

Tough and Self-Extinguishing

Heat resistant, self-extinguishing, and built out of material that already survived a first life. This is not a printed coaster that curls after a month on the table.

Where People Actually Put These

It Does Not Have to Hold a Rig

A Moodmat protects a surface and grips what sits on it. Whether that thing is a banger, a camera, or nothing at all is up to you. They are called Moodmats for a reason. Pick the one that matches how you feel and put it wherever it belongs.

Rig and Glass Pad

The job it was built for. Keeps glass off hard surfaces and keeps hard surfaces off your glass.

Display Surface

Figures, models, controllers, dice, cameras, watches. Anything worth setting on something intentional.

Wall Art

Plenty of these never touch a table. Hang it, frame it, or pin it behind the setup and let the print do the work.

Desk and Everyday

Trivet for hot pans, landing spot for keys, pad under a pet bowl, cushion on a camp table.

The Details

Specs and Care

Wipe it down with warm water and a little dish soap, then let it air dry flat. That is the whole routine. Do not run it through a washing machine or a dryer, do not scrub the print with an abrasive pad, and do not rest a lit torch or a glowing-hot banger directly on the surface. Use a stand or a puck for anything still at temperature.

Straight Talk

Know Before You Buy

01

Upcycled Means Variation

The rubber is reclaimed scrap, so base color, speckle, and surface texture shift slightly from sheet to sheet. Two mats of the same design will not be photocopies of each other. That is how you know it is the real material and not virgin stock.

02

Heat Resistant, Not Heatproof

The rubber is self-extinguishing and handles warm gear without complaint. It is not a torch pad. Park anything still glowing on a proper stand or a quartz puck, not on the print.

03

No UV on This One

Standard ink, two color, no reactive application. A blacklight does nothing to it. Several Moodmats do light up under one, this print is not among them, and we would rather tell you now than have you plug in a lamp and wonder what went wrong.

04

Flat Two Color, On Purpose

This is not a full color print and it is not trying to be. Pale blue and black on lime green, flat, with hatching where another print would use shading. If you are looking for a dense rainbow piece this is not it. If you like a clean cartoon that reads from ten feet away, this is exactly it.

05

Front Photo Only

We have one photo of this mat and it is the front in normal light. There is no back shot, so this listing makes no claim about what is or is not printed on the reverse. The photo we do have is of the actual piece, so the print and the green are accurate. The speckle in the reclaimed rubber shifts sheet to sheet regardless.
