The Print
A See Through Purple Handheld, Loaded
The whole mat is cut to the outline of a handheld game console, a tall rounded rectangle, and the body is painted as translucent plastic in milky grape and lavender with internal shading and highlights worked into it. That is the trick the piece runs on. It reads as a see through shell with the guts faintly visible behind it rather than as a flat drawing of a gadget. At the top, a near black screen bezel holds a purple and magenta smoke scene with three ghost creatures in it: a large round bodied one grinning wide with spiked ridges and blazing red slit eyes, a leaner crouching purple one with pointed ears, a white and red mouth, a spiky back and clawed hands, and a floating dark orb of gas with half lidded eyes. A line of lettering sits under the screen in white with the second word picked out in multicolour, and three small indicator dots and a power label sit off to the upper left.
The lower face is where the rest of the cast lives. A black four way cross pad sits recessed in a circle, two round translucent grey buttons sit to the right of it, and a blue winged creature with membrane wings shaded blue into magenta perches over the button area. Along the bottom row are three more: a coiled magenta and purple snake with a gold band, a slumping purple sludge creature with a wide grinning mouth, and a round spiked ball creature ringed by lime green gas puffs and small green clover shapes. Two dark oval speaker slots sit between them. Framing all of it is the black rubber border, printed with a repeating monogram pattern of interlocking letterforms and small four petal flowers in dark blue.
Part of the print is UV reactive and it is photographed under a lamp on this page, so you can see the lit state rather than take our word for it. The detail worth calling out is the border. The monogram repeat reacts along with the artwork, which tells you it was printed in reactive ink rather than a flat dark blue, and it means the glow runs edge to edge instead of stopping where the console outline stops. In ordinary light this is a dense full colour print on an eight inch die cut. Under a blacklight it is a second picture of the same object.

Credited on the back in a graffiti wildstyle treatment of his own name, built around a spiked crown, a spray can, a pair of cartoon gloves and a scatter of dab tools, followed by Made in USA, his instagram handle, an x and the moodmats wordmark. That is the entire record the piece carries and it is the entire record we are going to state. No biography, no back catalogue, no claims about anybody else involved. The back also carries the hand inked number box, which is what makes the run of 40 a fact off the object rather than a figure off a sheet.

Rubber That Already Had a First Life
Moodmats started with scraps from old wetsuits and discarded scuba and surf neoprene, material that was headed straight for a landfill. That became Lava Rubber, and Lava Rubber is what every Moodmat is cut from. The feedstock now comes from wetsuits, gaskets, weatherstripping, seat molds, and other clean scrap that gets collected or donated. More than two tons of it moves through the New Jersey shop every month, gets pressed into sheet stock, then die-cut and screen printed. Keeping that material out of the ground has been the point from day one.
Closed-Cell Neoprene
Closed-cell rubber does not drink up what you spill on it. Water, reclaim, and terp splash sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so a wipe with soapy water puts it back to new.
It Stays Put
The rubber grips whatever it is sitting on and grips whatever you set on top. A rig that would skate across a glass table or a finished desk stops moving the second it lands on a Moodmat.
Tough and Self-Extinguishing
Heat resistant, self-extinguishing, and built out of material that already survived a first life. This is not a printed coaster that curls after a month on the table.

Why It Matters
Runs End. Prints Do Not Come Back.
Moodmats print in runs, and runs end. Once a design is out, it is out. Artist collabs and drop exclusives regularly land in quantities of ten to twenty five pieces, which is why the people who collect these track drops, trade them, and frame the ones they will never put a rig on. If this specific print matters to you, the time to grab it is while it is still on the shelf.
A Run of Forty, Numbered by Hand
Forty is the whole production for this design and the number box on the back is the evidence for it, inked by hand over a printed 40. We are not going to tell you which one you are getting. We have two of these, the number varies from unit to unit, and quoting a position in a run we cannot guarantee is how listings turn into complaints. What we will tell you is the run size, that it is hand numbered, and that it came out of an artist drop rather than the standing catalog.
No Reprints
Moodmats does not go back and run a sold-out design again. When this one is gone from our shelf and theirs, the only way to get it is from somebody who already has one.
Worth Hanging
A print this limited does not have to earn its keep under a rig. Plenty of these end up on a wall, in a frame, or stacked with the rest of a collection.

Wipe it down with warm water and a little dish soap, then let it air dry flat. That is the whole routine. Do not run it through a washing machine or a dryer, do not scrub the print with an abrasive pad, and do not rest a lit torch or a glowing-hot banger directly on the surface. Use a stand or a puck for anything still at temperature.

Know Before You Buy
Upcycled Means Variation
The rubber is reclaimed scrap, so base color, speckle, and surface texture shift slightly from sheet to sheet. Two mats of the same design will not be photocopies of each other. That is how you know it is the real material and not virgin stock.
Heat Resistant, Not Heatproof
The rubber is self-extinguishing and handles warm gear without complaint. It is not a torch pad. Park anything still glowing on a proper stand or a quartz puck, not on the print.
UV Needs a Blacklight
The reactive ink does nothing under a lamp, a window or a phone flash. It needs actual ultraviolet, the sort of tube or bar people run behind a rig, and then it does what the second photo on this page shows. In ordinary light this is a bright, dense print on a die cut shape and nothing more, which is a perfectly good thing to be, so buy it for the daylight look and treat the glow as the second picture you get for free.
The Number on the Back Is Not the One We Quote
There is a hand inked figure in the number box on the back of this mat. We do not put it in the listing, and the photo of the back may well show a number that is not the one that ends up in your hands, because we have two of these on the shelf. The claim on this page is the run of 40 and the fact that the piece is numbered. Anything more precise than that is not something we can promise, so we do not.
Die Cut Means Irregular Edges
The outline follows the shape of the console instead of a clean rectangle, so the listed eight inches is the tall dimension rather than a uniform footprint, and the printed border is part of the cut piece rather than bare trim you could lose. Measure your space if it is tight and handle the corners the way you would handle any corner of rubber.
