Note that the Galaxy Pen does not include terp pearls due to its chamber design; all other three configurations do.

Pearl size is matched to chamber diameter. The Lunar Lander’s bucket is large enough that a 6mm pearl makes proper contact with the heated walls and has enough mass to build thermal momentum during your draw. Smaller pearls sized for pen chambers — typically 2.5 to 4mm — would rattle around without doing useful work in the Lander’s larger bucket. A 6mm pearl in the right chamber means more surface area in contact with the concentrate, better heat distribution across the load, and more complete extraction per session. The 2.5-4mm pearls included for the portable are sized correctly for those narrower pen chambers.

It means the Lander is a long-term device, not a disposable one. Most eRigs at this price point are designed around a sealed or integrated heater — when the heater degrades, you either send it in for service or replace the whole unit. The Lander’s heater core is user-serviceable, meaning you can pull it out and rebuild or replace it yourself without tools or sending it anywhere.
