How a Klein Recycler Works

Most recyclers route everything through the same chamber. The Klein design routes the drain outside the body entirely, which is what separates it from a standard recycler and makes it worth knowing about.

SOL Perc Does the First Work
Vapor enters through the 14mm joint and hits the many holes in the percolator. The slitted perc breaks the incoming vapor into smaller bubbles, starting the filtration and diffusion process before the water circuit even takes over.

External Klein Loop Takes Over
An external uptake tube carries water up and out of the main chamber. This is the Klein weld at work. The drain routes back down into the lower can through a separate external line, bypassing the percolator entirely. The result is a continuous vortex with no airflow restriction.

Vapor Reaches You Cooled and Clean
Because the water cycle is continuous and the vapor path stays separate from the drain, vapor never stagnates. Every draw delivers fresh, cooled vapor. The Klein design also naturally prevents splashback by keeping water in constant downward motion through the external drain line.

Borosilicate Glass
Borosilicate handles thermal cycling better than standard glass. It does not crack from repeated heating and cooling the way cheaper glass does. This is what lab equipment is made from, and it is the right material for a piece that takes direct heat from a torch or banger on every use.

Joint
14mm Female, 90-Degree
The 14mm female 90-degree joint is the most common standard in concentrate setups. Your bangers, drop-downs, and adapters are almost certainly already 14mm. The 90-degree angle keeps the banger seated upright and stable, which matters when you are loading wax onto a hot surface.

8 Inches Tall
Eight inches is a practical desktop height. Tall enough to give the vapor path room to cool, compact enough to keep the rig stable on a table or silicone mat without needing a wide footprint. It is also easy to store and move between setups without babysitting it.

Cleaning
Simple. Salt and ISO.
The openings on this rig are wide enough that standard cleaning with coarse salt and 91 percent or higher isopropyl alcohol does the job well. Cover the openings, shake, rinse with warm water. The external Klein loop does look complex but it flushes cleanly because both ends are open.

The Klein ships as a rig only. You need a 14mm male banger to use it. If you are pairing it with the Pocket Rocket, grab the Bottomless Banger at the same time. If you are using a torch, any quality 14mm quartz banger works.

Water Level Matters
Klein recyclers are sensitive to fill level. Too little water and the recycling action does not start. Too much and you restrict airflow. Fill until the inline perc is submerged but water is not climbing the neck. Takes one or two tries to find the right level for your draw style.

You need a 14mm male banger. The joint on the Klein is 14mm female. The Bottomless Banger sold on our site is 14mm male and designed specifically for the Pocket Rocket setup.

Fill until the inline percolator is fully submerged but water is not climbing toward the mouthpiece. The recycling action starts when water has enough volume to cycle through the Klein loop. If you hear dry crackling from the perc, add a little more. If draw resistance is too high, back off slightly.

Yes. The Klein works with any standard 14mm male banger. The Pocket Rocket setup is the cleanest option, but a standard torch and 14mm quartz banger works perfectly well with this rig.

Use coarse salt and 91 percent or higher isopropyl alcohol. Cover all openings and shake. The external Klein loop flushes well because both ends are open, so the cleaning solution runs through freely. Rinse with warm water and let it dry fully before your next session.
