A removable 304 stainless retention pin holds the borosilicate J-hook in the silicone base. Set your vape down, walk away, come back when you’re ready. The HookMate stays planted and your glass stays where you left it.

Flip It, Adjust Everything
The J-hook seats in the base in either direction. Run it one way for a taller mouthpiece, flip it for a different angle and a lower profile. One product covers multiple session ergonomics depending on your glass and your seat.

Who the HookMate Is For

If you run any vaporizer with a 14mm connection and you want cooler vapor without dragging a full water piece around, this product was built for you. The J-hook geometry filters and cools the vapor on its way to your lips without adding the volume of a bubbler. The captive base solves the problem every J-hook user has faced at some point: the device tipping over the moment you set it down.

THE SYSTEM

How the Captive Design Works

The HookMate is three components working together: a silicone base, a glass J-hook, and a stainless steel retention pin. Each part has a specific job, and the way they integrate is what separates this from any random J-hook with a stand glued underneath.

THE BASE
Soft-Touch Silicone
Food-grade silicone with a soft-touch coating. The weight and texture grip the table so the assembly doesn’t slide. Soft enough that it won’t scratch a finished surface, firm enough that the J-hook seats with confidence.

THE J-HOOK
Borosilicate Glass
Hand-finished borosilicate, the same thermally stable glass you find in lab equipment and quality dab gear. Pure flavor with no aftertaste, easy to clean, and tough enough to handle the thermal cycling of regular use.

THE PIN
304 Stainless Steel
A removable 304 stainless retention pin slides through the base and locks the J-hook in place. Pull it to swap orientation, slide it back to lock the new position. The pin is what makes this captive instead of just resting.

THE CASE
Custom Travel Pouch
A protective case with a cutout shaped to the HookMate plus a 98mm by 37mm accessory pocket. Sized to fit a MAD Heaters Reload Gen 3 cartridge, a Proxy Core, or any small accessory you want to keep with your kit on the go.

REVERSIBLE FITMENT

Two Orientations, One Product

The hole through the silicone base is sized to accept the J-hook from either direction. That single design decision turns this into two products in one. Pull the pin, flip the hook, slide the pin back. Different height, different angle, same hardware.

Standard Orientation
Mouthpiece elevated for an upright session. Best when you’re sitting at a desk or table and want a comfortable lift to your lips without leaning over. The classic J-hook profile, just stabilized.

Reversed Orientation
Lower profile, different angle. Pulls the mouthpiece down and out, useful if you’re seated lower or running a taller atomizer that already lifts the connection point. Adjusts the geometry without buying a second hook.

Quick Swap
Pin out, flip, pin back in. Takes about 10 seconds. No tools, no disassembly of your glass, no risk to the J-hook. Switch between orientations as often as you want without putting the hardware through any wear.

SETUP

Drop-In Use

No assembly tutorial needed. The HookMate is intuitive enough that you’ll have it running in about 30 seconds, but here is the formal version in case you want to confirm.

Pick Your Orientation
Decide which direction you want the J-hook seated based on your seat height and your atomizer profile. You can swap later, so don’t overthink it for the first session.

Seat the J-Hook
Slide the borosilicate J-hook into the base hole in your chosen direction. It should glide in without forcing. If you feel resistance, double-check the orientation and re-seat gently.

Lock with the Pin
Slide the 304 stainless retention pin through the base, capturing the J-hook in position. The pin holds the hook against tipping forces and lateral pulls.

Connect and Draw
Mate your 14mm vaporizer to the J-hook’s 14mm connection and draw through the mouthpiece as usual. Use the included stir tool for any in-bowl maintenance during the session.

Glass variation is normal
Each J-hook is hand-finished borosilicate produced in small batches. Expect minor variation in glass tint, bend angle, seam visibility, and overall character between units. The fit and function are consistent. The cosmetic individuality is intentional and part of buying boutique-made glass.

Vape sold separately
The HookMate ships with the silicone base, the borosilicate J-hook, the retention pin, the stir tool, and the case. It does not include a vaporizer. You bring the 14mm device, the HookMate handles the J-hook geometry and the stability problem.

Confirm 14mm fitment first
14mm is the universal connection size, but check your specific vaporizer before ordering. If your device uses 10mm, 18mm, or a proprietary connection, this J-hook won’t seat. Most modern e-rigs, the Puffco Proxy, the Pivot, the Voozr P2A, and many ball vape bowls run 14mm. If you’re unsure, send us your gear and we’ll verify.

Cleaning is straightforward
Soak the J-hook in isopropyl alcohol, rinse with warm water, air dry fully before next use. Wipe the silicone base down with a damp cloth as needed. Don’t put the silicone base in the alcohol soak unnecessarily. The pin can be wiped clean with a cotton swab and isopropyl.
