Handle Set
A matching heater and bowl handle set hand-turned by Ed’s TNT from South American Canarywood. Built for comfort over a long session, fitted for the ball vapes you already own, and finished with the kind of grain you can’t manufacture. Each piece comes from a single wood blank so the color and pattern run continuous across both handles.

USA
Canarywood (Centrolobium spp.) grows in the tropical forests of South America, primarily in Brazil and Bolivia. It earns its name from the warm golden-yellow base color that runs through the heartwood, but the grain rarely stops there.
|
Golden Yellow to Deep Amber
The base color of Canarywood heartwood ranges from pale straw-yellow through rich amber gold. Even within a single piece the color shifts as the grain changes direction under light.
|
Red and Sienna Streaking
Individual blanks carry vivid irregular streaks of red and burnt orange running through the yellow ground. No two pieces show the same pattern. Ed specifically selects blanks where the streaking is most expressive.
|
Dense, Durable Hardwood
Canarywood is a dense tropical hardwood with good shock resistance and takes a smooth finish well. It handles daily use without softening or denting, and the color deepens slightly over time as the wood ages.
|
Canarywood grain is irregular by nature. Color, streaking intensity, and pattern placement vary from blank to blank. The set you receive will match the wood photographed as a representative example, but the specific grain and color saturation will be its own. That is not a flaw. That is the material.
Ed’s TNT is a small US workshop run by a craftsman the vaporizer community has trusted for well over a decade. Ed built his reputation on handmade wooden stems for Arizer, DynaVap, and Tinymight, then expanded into log vapes, bowl hardware, dab tools, and coil handles as the ball vape category grew around him. He makes things by hand, one piece at a time, and his name on an accessory means the fit and finish will be right.

Hand-Turned on a Lathe
Every handle is shaped on a wood lathe, not cut or molded. The turning process produces a continuous, smooth surface without seams or parting lines and lets Ed feel the balance in the piece as it takes shape.

Ball vape hardware starts bare. The coil has a wire. The bowl has threads. Neither was designed to sit comfortably in your hand during a session or to be picked up and put down repeatedly without burning yourself or losing your grip. The handles solve that.
|
Heater Handle
Slips over the coil assembly and threads into place. Keeps your hand clear of the coil body during heating and repositioning. The wood stays cool to the touch through a normal session so you are always handling wood, not hot metal.
|
Bowl Handle
Threads onto the bowl so you can load, position, and remove it without touching the metal. Especially useful with titanium and stainless bowls that retain heat for a long time after a session. Pick it up by the wood, not the hardware.
|
Matched Pair
Both handles come from the same Canarywood blank, so the color and grain read as a set. Your heater and bowl look like they belong together, because they were made to.
|
|
Heater Handle
Hand-turned Canarywood heater handle with #10-24 threading. Sized to slip over and secure to the coil assembly. Designed with a channel on the underside for the coil wire to sit without pinching.
|
Bowl Handle
Matching Canarywood bowl handle with #10-24 threading. Cut from the same blank as the heater handle. Allows you to handle a hot bowl safely and position it precisely without touching the metal hardware directly.
|
These handles use standard #10-24 threading found on most ball vapes. Your coil and bowl hardware must also use #10-24 threads for these to fit. If you are not sure, look up your specific device or ask us before ordering. The handles do not include hardware. Ball vape components are sold separately in our store.

Questions about threading compatibility or ball vape setups? The Dab Hut Discord is free to join and someone can usually confirm fit fast.
|
Will these handles fit my ball vape?
These handles use #10-24 threading, which is the standard on most ball vapes on the market including Crossing Technology setups, Phase3, and many others in the community. If your coil and bowl hardware use #10-24 threads, these fit. If your device uses a different thread standard, they will not.
The best way to verify is to check your device specs or ask the manufacturer. If you are not sure, reach out to us on Discord or by email before you order and we can help confirm.
Will the wood get hot during a session?
Wood is a poor thermal conductor, which is why it makes sense as a handle material for hot hardware. The wooden body of the handle stays noticeably cooler than the metal components during and immediately after a session. You will feel some warmth transfer over a long session, but nothing approaching what the metal reaches.
The threading interface is where metal contacts metal, so the closest point of heat transfer is at the connection. The outer wood stays manageable throughout normal use.
My handles look different from the photos. Is something wrong?
No. Canarywood grain varies significantly from blank to blank. The color can range from pale straw-yellow through deep amber with red and sienna streaks. Your set will look different from the product photos because it came from a different part of a different blank. That is not a defect, that is the nature of the material.
If you receive a set where the wood has a visible defect such as a crack, checking, or soft spot, that is a different situation and we will make it right. Contact us directly.
How do I care for the wood handles?
Keep the wood dry. Do not submerge the handles in ISO or water. For cleaning, wipe the exterior with a lightly damp cloth or a dry cotton swab. If the wood feels dry over time, a very light application of food-grade mineral oil or beeswax will condition it without affecting the surface finish. Avoid soaking or prolonged moisture exposure.
