Why You Replace Aluminum
The stock capsules work. They also wear out, and the way they wear out is annoying enough that most people quit using capsules entirely. Solid metal fixes the three failure points.

Rims That Stay Round
Aluminum is soft. Drop a loaded capsule on a tile floor once and the rim goes slightly oval, and from then on the lid either fights you going on or pops off in your pocket. Stainless and titanium hold their shape through the same drop and keep sealing the way they did on day one.

Cleaning That Actually Works
Both metals go straight into an isopropyl soak with no discoloration, no pitting, and no cloudy film left behind on the screen. Brush the loose material out, soak, rinse in hot water, dry, and the capsule is back to bare metal. That is a two minute job for all five at once.

Five capsules is the number that changes the habit. Load a different strain in each one, or load all five with the same thing and stop thinking about it until Friday. Sessions become grab and go instead of grinder, tray, jar, and a chamber you have to scrape out afterward.

Stainless Steel Screw Top
Medical grade 304 stainless with threaded lids. The threads mean the lid does not come off unless you turn it, which is what you want when loaded capsules are riding loose in a bag with keys and a phone. Stainless carries the most mass of the two, so it holds heat longest once the chamber brings it up to temperature and gives the most consistent draw on a long session. This is the workhorse and the better value.

Titanium Press Fit
Grade 2 titanium with press fit lids that seat with thumb pressure and lift straight off. No threads to cross, no threads to pack with material, and a swap you can do one handed while the device is still warm. Titanium weighs less than steel and comes up to temperature faster, so it costs you less battery on a portable. Pay the premium if you reload on the move.

Loose capsules end up at the bottom of a bag, half open, with material everywhere. The caddy is what turns five pods into a system you actually use.
Smell Proof Seal
A gasketed cap keeps the terps inside the tube instead of announcing themselves to everyone in the car. Five loaded capsules go in, the cap seals, and the bag smells like a bag.
Keyring Attachment

These are real differences from the stock capsules, not fine print. Knowing them going in is the difference between an upgrade you love and a return.

Plan On More Heat
Steel and titanium carry more mass than aluminum, so the chamber spends more of its energy bringing the capsule up before it works on your material. Nudge your set temperature up a few degrees to land in the same place. On a battery powered device that trade shows up as slightly fewer sessions per charge.

Airflow Reads Different
The screen and wall geometry are close to stock but not a clone, so the draw has its own character. Most people prefer it after a session or two. If you are chasing an exact match to the pod that came in the box, this is not that.

Lid Fit Varies Slightly
Machining tolerances mean one lid in a set can seat a touch tighter or looser than another. Keep each lid with the body it arrived on and the fit stays consistent. Do not mix titanium lids onto stainless bodies or the reverse, since the two materials are not cut to swap.

Volcano Needs An Adapter
Desktop Volcano use requires the Storz and Bickel dosing capsule adapter and filling chamber reducer, the same as with stock capsules. That part is sold separately by Storz and Bickel and is not included with this set. Portable owners need nothing extra.

After Each Session
Dump and Brush
Tap the spent material out while the capsule is still warm and run a dry brush around the screen. Ten seconds now keeps residue from baking on and turning into a real job later.
Every Few Weeks
Soak, Rinse, Dry
Drop all five bodies and lids in isopropyl alcohol, let them sit, then rinse under hot water and dry completely before loading. Both metals come out of the soak unchanged, which is exactly what aluminum does not do.
