Brass Between the Nichrome
Most standard barrel coils leave the nichrome wire exposed on the inner face. That works fine for a stationary banger, but wireless ball vapes need to slide in and out every session. Exposed coil wire means snags, catches, and potential coil damage over time.
The Armored Coil solves this by encasing the nichrome in brass. The wire is wound and brass is filled in around it, leaving a machined smooth inner diameter. The result is a barrel that your heater slips in and out of cleanly, with nothing to catch on, hot or cold.

The Armored Coil is built for the standard 25mm wireless ball vape form factor on a corded PID setup. Read the dock note below before ordering if you are on the Crossing WOHW wireless system.

Crossing WOHW Wireless Dock
Without Modification
The brass jacket adds outer diameter that prevents a clean fit in the WOHW wireless dock housing as designed. This coil works on the SS WOHW heater itself over a corded connection, but it will not seat in the dock without modification.

Important
Does Not Fit the WOHW Wireless Dock
If you use your WOHW setup with the Crossing wireless dock, this coil is not a drop-in replacement. The brass jacket increases the outer diameter enough that the coil will not seat in the dock housing without modification. If you want to run this coil with the wireless dock, reach out on Discord or through our contact page first so we can walk through what modification is involved.

Coil Only. No PID or Heater Included.
This is the coil only. You need a PID controller with the standard Crossing/Auber/DC XLR pinout and a compatible 25mm ball vape heater to use it. If you are not sure what you have, ask before ordering.

Verify Your Pinout Before Connecting
Not all XLR PIDs use the same wiring. Only controllers matching the Crossing/Auber/DC pinout (1-AC, 2-AC, 3-TC+, 4-TC-, 5-GND) work with this coil. Mismatched wiring damages both the coil and the controller. There are no returns on wiring mismatch.

Heads Up
May Fit Snugly Cold
Brass expands slightly with heat, so the fit can be tighter cold than warm. If the heater takes a little force to seat initially, that is normal. Do not force it. Warm the coil briefly and seat the heater while warm for an easier first fit.
